Flow Meter
The clamp-on design monitors ow from outside the pipe, making it suited for verifying coating amounts for grease, glue, and other materials where adherence to monitoring equipment is a concenr. It can also verify for
food, medication, and other i tems where contact with
monitoring equipment is to be avoided.

Manufacturing Conditions
Typical ow sensors are placed within the ow channel, causing pressure losses and increasing the risk of varying manufacturing conditions. This makes it di to install conventional ow sensors on pre-existing equipment.
A clamp-on ow sensor eliminates this risk and requires no
maintenance.
Repeatability of ±0.1% of F.S. Without Contacting the Liquid
TransmissionTime Dierence Method (DeltaTOF)
The sensor sends ultrasonic waves along, and against, the liquid ow direction. The faster the ow, the shorter the time required for the ow-directed waves to reach the other side, and the longer the time for the waves going in the opposite direction. Measuring this time dierence ensures stable detection of ow, while eliminating the impact of environmental changes.
Superior Repeatability Instantaneous ow: ±0.1% of F.S. Ejection amount: ±0.003 mL
Despite the external clamp-on design, the FD-X Series provides highly repeatable readings. It can be used to reliably monitor instantaneous ow, as well as uid ejection rates.
